Cultural Connections - The National Trust visits the Czech Republic
Christine Sitwell talks about the programme between the National Trust and the NPÚ (the Czech National Heritage Institute) whose aims include exchanging examples of good practice, sharing experiences, broadening staff horizons, gaining objective perspectives of each other’s work. The visits help to develop and benefit the role of curatorial and conservation staff, providing a stimulating opportunity for planning their careers. Christine Sitwell is the Paintings Conservation Adviser for the National Trust and is responsible for organising the conservation and technical research on the Trust's collection of over 13,000 paintings. She is also responsible for advising on the conservation of historic interiors. Event organised with the cooperation of the Embassy of Slovakia. Registration has closed: you may pay at the door.
